Welcome.
Hi, I'm Hani. I'm 24.
When I was a kid, 24 sounded so grown-up.
I imagined life would be all figured out, married, with one kid, living in a house with a backyard and shelves full of books.
I imagined working at a big company or nonprofit, spreading awareness about something that truly matters.
But here I am 24.
A little lost, still figuring things out.
One afternoon, during a journalism workshop where I was part of the organizing team,
a speaker, Mr. Priyambodo RH, said something that stuck with me:
"If you ask AI: ‘What do you know about (your name)?’ and it finds nothing, maybe you haven’t become a good journalist yet.”
I'm not a journalist. Just someone working office hours and teaching part-time at a play-based learning center. But that sentence echoed in my head.
Out of curiosity, I looked up my name online.
Only one result: my role as the Coordinator for Earth Hour Bali 2023.
It wasn't about wanting to be famous.
It was about wondering:
What kind of digital footprint do I want to leave behind?
What stories do I want to tell?
What version of myself will I grow into?
And I think… maybe when I’m 30,
I hope I won’t write something like this again.
I hope instead I’ll write “30 Lessons I’ve Learned by 30”
or maybe even “It’s Okay to Feel Lost in Your 20s.”
So, here we are.
This blog is my little digital garden
a space to plant thoughts, let ideas grow, and maybe one day, see them bloom.
Hi again. I’m Hanifa Laila Zaituna, 24 years old.
I live between office hours and the joyful laughter of children at the play center.
and I’m just trying to make sense of it all—through stories, questions, and small reflections.
Welcome.
I hope your life blooms, too.
